| Comment: | My first review was 1730 characters long and vanished in the Deep Blue Cyber Screen. Great film, photography, acting by Reno, bod and face by Jacques and GREAT sex scene!
i can't get too philosophical til I know this is going to POST!
My take on the ending: Jacques was not human. Enzo made a comment to Johana about it. His heartbeat was that 'only seen in dolphins and whales' when he dove in the Andes. He smiled around humans, but he glowed around dolphins! After kissing Johana for the first time you see him making 'lip contact' with Flipperita. A man would not spend an entire night swimming with a dolphin when he could be getting laid. He sees a dolphin when he makes love to her. Damn would that piss me off if my man was dreaming of porpoise while doing me! There was the mermaid story he told Johana. The mermaids he rferred to where actually the dolphins, like the one who came and got him at the end, sensing his true love. He does not die, but he does not come back up! Mama Dolphin, his true love, takes him home. Sorry Johana, you should have used protection because now you'll be raising a baby whose father left you for a porpoise! It may be part fish itself, which would set up a sequel nicely! |

And if I may: of course J. was not human. That's the whole point. The point being is that we can be happy and smiling and seemingly careless too. But we can't, because everybody would accuse us of being mad or inhuman. So we mold prison for each other when all we crave for is freedom and hapiness. So You see, dear Sir - one could go as far as propose that J. was in fact the 2nd coming of Jesus, Buddha himself, Guardian Angel or such like... ;-) |

| Comment: | Does anyone know how to get their hands on a copy of the original movie with the original music score?
The most recent DVD release of the directors cut sucks. The music is different and there is too much extra in the movie.

| Comment: | You know what I hate most about this site? It is not backgrounds - it is tiny, narrow marigins containing no more than 5 words per line - this is absolutely crazy - there is so much space and most of it is occupied by some half eaten apples! What for? |
