MadPole On The Brain

For your delectation, below part eight of my correspondence with the insane philosopher MadPole, who is the only mortal who actually knows the truth.

Typical MadPole quote:

"The brain panics when it senses change. And when it panics it can be very clever in preventing its owner from seeing this change, which usually took place already"

eadon: I have an Aunt who, when I upset her, which is often, writes me an angry email and then sends another one apologising. In actual fact her angry emails are the only ones she sends that are worth reading, infinitely more meaningful and interesting and entertaining than her usual fare.

MadPole: Stuff You then ! :-)

We live in the world of multidimensional reality or rather in the world of indefinite layers of perceptions, interacting and fighting against each other. There is only one truth: that there is not such thing as objective, definite truth.

If I insist that something is absolutely true (as I often do) that only means that my brain tries to cling to some idea - usually out of fear of unknown, out of fear of change. The brain panics when it senses change. And when it panics it can be very clever in preventing its owner from seeing this change, which usually took place already.

Balance is the only goal. Look at everything around You - trees, animals, humans, eco-systems, economical systems, parking problems - take whatever You fancy! The only thing which keeps any object or system of objects "alive" is a balance.

So be happy, be sad, seek pain, seek happiness! Just don't say everytime "THIS IS IT!" because it is waste of your energy and dangerous thing to do. By saying "THIS IS IT!" we are trying to capture the moment which has already passed. And clinging to the moment which has already passed means that we get out of sync with our reality, with the flow of our lives. And the more we are out of sync, the more we are upset about it. Then we try to cling even more, wondering where we went wrong - whether in fact we did not "go wrong" - it is just the fact that we refused to move on and are more and more "behind" which upsets us.

There is only one source which over the time branched itself into an indefinite number of layers and indirections. Computers are very good at demonstrating how it all happens. How layers upon layers are being built, how levels of indirection, of illusion, start to bury the source and how the illusion becomes so common that it is treated as reality. And so it becomes reality. We all came from this source. We all have all the knowledge that ever existed inside our bodies and around us.

Everything is product of evolution. Even a brick. Brain is a thinking organ. But it is also a PHYSICAL organ - and we often forget about that. Computers are still working "around" REGISTERS [A register is a part of a computer chip] - whatever software program, whatever game, whatever movie - even this E-mail - everything goes back to the computer chip and REGISTERS and then emerges from it again. The same applies to everything in this world. We do it every day - every second of our lives - we are just not aware of it. Animals and plants have more awareness on this levels. And that's why I will never cease to learn from them. Stuff my brain - any animal or tree is much more clever than that!

There is a lot to learn from one's brain blanking or dis-forming things..... And the human brain is particularly well known for this kind of tricks..... In fact one could come to conclusion that the whole purpose of human brain is to mislead, misjudge, cheat, lie, deny, hide, mislead, manipulate and all other stuff.... The problem is: who is "One Who Could Come To This Conclusion" ?! Apart from human Being who unfortunately possesses... errr...human brain!

Aliens?! Even if they were swarming around us our brain would reject them very easily. We give it this power. There are aliens around us. Am I mad ?! No, but I am scared as everybody else. I just don't believe that my fear should define my reality. Because reality is what it is, not what my brain chooses it to be. My brain is a coward. But my brain is not me. I am depressed, desperate, suicidal, ecstatic, happy, enthusiastic, mad, too logical, emotional, cold-blooded bastard, addict, control freak and everything else. And everybody who knows me could not disagree on the statement above. If I am suicidal and ecstatic at the same time, it is just a matter of choice, which one to pick! And even if I pick "suicidal" it would not mean suicide because I know there is "ecstatic" part to it as well!

The brain is just a tool. We foolishly believe that our brain tells us what is wrong or right. We foolishly believe that our brain is our best advisor, the only link between us and reality, the only explanation we have, the reason why we are here.... Our brain just tells us what it was told. If we don't tell it what to say to us, our fear secretly will whisper to our brain and then our brain will just relate this information to us.....

The brilliant thing about being a Human Being is that it is the first time in THIS world when species can decide about their reality. And hence Christian, Catholic, Jesus, Jews, and every other religion! They all say the same thing: "What a shame! We are in position to do it and we don't bloody do it! What a stupid bastards we are!" And hence various religious practices which serve only one purpose: "get less stupid and start to take advantage".
