your delectation, below part nine of my correspondence
with the insane philosopher who is the only
mortal who actually knows the truth.

It suddenly dawn on me what somebody said to
me 2 weeks ago - that perhaps we are closer
to our grandparents than to our parents. The
logic behind my brain (don't blame me!) was
this: Kids are always opposite/against their
parents. Evolutionary process demands that.
And simple mathematics reveal that since we
are opposite to our parents than we should be
more the same as our grandparents! Our parents
went opposite to their parents, therefore us
going opposite our parents should put us in
line with our grandparents! Which proves to
be true in my case, despite the fact that I
didn't even know my grandparents very well!
Since children don't agree with their parents
- they obviously won't agree with their children
who are like their parents! It is simple (-
- = +) scenario! Who would have thought that
parental problems can be explained by basic
algebra!
My grandparents: -
My parents: - (result is +)
Me - (minus again!)
My children - (plus again!)
Same family, same trends (minus all the time)
but it still produces conflicts!
Brilliant comment from a small kid stroking

This statement is so deep that I am not even
attempting to think about it now. The whole
essence revealed in one seemingly silly sentence.

A horse-adoring woman I know told me that when
she was a child she went on holiday to Spain
with her family. Her father bought her a burger.
With a full mouth he asked him what it was made
of. The answermade her into a vegetarian. Her
father told her that the burger she was scoffing
was made of horse meat!
When I was a small child I saw a dummy chopped
in half at a circus. I didn't know it was a
dummy at the time, I was deceived into thinking
it was a real plump man. The colour of the dummy
where it was chopped clean in half was pale
yellow. I concluded that we are made out of
mash potato!
I spent a long time since being fascinated by
what we are made of. I have lost that childlike
thirst for knowledge. I think it is because
I know the gist of what we know and there are
fewer surprises each year.

Patterns. Structures. Classes. Objects. Dependencies.
Ownerships. Levels. Indirections. Interactions.
Mixing. Mingling. Exchanging. Changing. Merging.
Emerging. Cause. Effect. Sequence. Subsequence.
Effect.
What is a "life" ? What is a "universe" ? It
is nothing but a collection of patterns. There
is absolutely nothing more to it. Levels, patterns,
interactions, different scales, different angles,
different ways of looking, different points
of observation....but all very logical, very
structured, very "together", very sensible,
very harsh and cruel, very ecstatic, very sexy,
very
ever very!
One can take a Tesco's soap during one's bath
and suddenly discover the meaning of life! One
can take a Tesco's soap and suddenly discover
patterns on the surface of it. Or discover the
patterns on the surface of human psychology.
One can suddenly get curious about soap. One
can suddenly get curious about the patterns,
one cheap piece of soap represents. One can
suddenly see the same patterns in other things.
One can suddenly see how things are made and
joint together. One can suddenly see how the
whole world is made of wonderful Lego blocks.
And one can laugh and laugh and laugh and more!
Suddenly the torture becomes an ecstasy! What's
the BIG DEAL ?! They are only Lego blocks !

(corporation for U.S. readers) MadPole used
to work for]

Yes it is! Perfect timing because I just discovered
this and then your E-mail arrives confirming
it! I did grow up to the point when I love the
situation! I got them by their balls - which
is the same strategy we use for our customers!
I have been working in Hraxzaxeq LTD for 6 months
now and I am still not a permanent employee.
If I am sick - I don't get paid for it. I am
basically contractor on a permanent employee
package. I have written in my "files" that I
am unstable, dangerous, unpredictable, mentally
disturbed, unprofessional individual who is
a danger to a company. The HR women who wrote
this gave her 2 months notice and left.......
3 days after that! Call this professionalism!
I am on "probation" - at the same time I get
bottle of champagne for my achievements! I am
waiting for my permanent employment contract
because only then I can give my company 1 month
notice! That's the only reason why I am with
Hraxzaxeq LTD for such a LONG TIME!

cruelty. Looks like you are in a hive of evil
at Hraxzaxeq LTD.

It's bad but as I say many times - I do enjoy
it almost immensely although it is very hard
sometimes! It is very educating experience -
I know much better what the words "humility"
and "courage" mean!
Climbing Kilimanjaro was nothing comparing with
some of my experiences in Hraxzaxeq LTD! And I am
absolutely serious about it!
It is a bit masochistic, old Christian "beat
me up (Scotty :-)"
Hraxzaxeq LTD is also amazing from the point of
view of subjects so close to your heart: patterns,
consciousness, evolution, reality... Not only
Hraxzaxeq LTD is trying to change the perception
of reality, but it is also doing it quite well.
Hraxzaxeq LTD creates its own definition what is
real and what is not, what is acceptable and
what is not etc.. etc..
The most amazing thing, like in any company,
is... answer to simple question: "who is Hraxzaxeq
LTD?"... Everybody at every work place says
"they don't understand, they don't have a clue,
they this, they that...". But I always ask the
question: who is "they" ? The obvious answer
is that "they" is one man on the top. But this
is not possible.
Listen to a little wee story about a particular
evolution: One man does not try to control anything.
One man does one thing: he shouts down at anybody
he comes across. Vibrations start to spread
and vibrate....interact with human psyches..human
behaviour... human psychology..... This man
is a director... he comes across top management
a lot and obviously he shouts at them.... reason
does not come into consideration here...pure
uncontrolled evolution..... Top managers shout
at bottom managers and so the chains develop
- with us poor bastards being at the bottom,
so we can't shout at or blame anybody! That
is the top-bottom design.
Let's throw some "body" into it - a lot of complex
things start to happen. Different people, different
situations, different countries, interactions,
interactions, interactions....millions of different
interactions... emotions, friendships, upsets,
everybody bringing different attitudes, approaches
and perceptions of reality from their former
companies..... The top-bottom design starts
to vibrate, shake, swap, exchange, communicate,
realities mix continuously, talks take place,
new realities are formed... oh, one big beehive!
The whole structure seems to collapse, everything
is mixed up, exchanged, changed and becomes
one unified body. Like a drop of paint into
a cup of water. Company. Human body. Everything
else. It is an object. But after initial impression
that everything is whole and one now, the imposing
structures, the leading patterns, the parts
of skeleton, are starting to show up, although
in much more settled and underlying form. What
seemed like a cup of red liquid now appears
to be a cup of water with millions of tiny smudges
of paint in it. Structures, patterns, common
vibrations, hierarchies, common perceptions
start to appear.... They are "there", in front
of everybody, they are in the "air" but nobody
can see them, nobody can "catch" them, define
them, prove them. And the company becomes an
object in action, a separate entity, a materialisation
of global consciousness which nobody can see,
an animal, an Alien, a creature on its own right.
Company structures guarantee a logical, methodical
and sturdy skeleton-structure. There is no mambo-jumbo,
vibrations, aliens or anything like that here.
The boundaries are clearly defined and even
leaks and unknowns are dealt with efficiently.
You opened my eyes to that by pointing out that
what a computer program does is totally different
to the paths the computer programmer follows.
Computer programs ARE independent creatures,
small, independent, short lived, temporary gatherings
of tiny bits of consciousness of many people...
If I write a piece of computer code while being
angry, this anger will be (as it often happened)
reflected in the code itself. During run-time
my anger will be interacting with other elements
of the system. The system will behave differently
- usually that means crashing more often. Here
is a prime example of evolution or karma in
action! No mambo-jumbo, no voodoo-daewoo, just
simple, logical progression.
My anger will be fighting other elements of
the system. Perhaps written in anger as well.
The tiny, little, wee, microscopic battles of
tiny bits of consciousness will commence, and
sparks of consciousness will be flying everywhere.
Tiny, invisible, harmless, jolly and happy....And
it will be over in nano-seconds....shame nobody
can witness that.
A company is a totally different beast. It is
invisible not because it is tiny, but because
it is in front of our eyes. By defining itself
very clearly and methodically, the company protected
its real identity - which is. .... all that
is un-definable! The company can exist as a
single entity, without anybody seeing it, by
manipulating everything from the area of "indefinable".
The company can dictate and demand whatever
it wants and nobody, not even the directors,
will know about it....Various people on various
levels would try to fight those demands, would
try to define them, would have endless meetings
and improvement drives. But it will be all in
vain. They can't fight something which is out
of company's scope, out of company's definition,
because then they would be wasting company time
on private matters. Phew!

I know of managers that face a grim choice (of
their own making) - do nothing and have a failed
system on their hands, - or
do something.
The latter involves delays and costs and requires
them to appear to be more responsible and visible
and still be exposed to risk - even though this
is the only chance of success.
MadPole:
In Hraxzaxeq LTD as a manager you have a very simple
choice which is not choice at all... You blame
everybody below you. In Hraxzaxeq LTD whatever happened
would be YOUR fault - unless something good
happened of course! I give You a prime example:
Every now and then I want to "raise" my worth
and morale. I don't want to feel like a piece
of useless shit. So I tell my manager how good
I am and what I did in my past. The response
is: "If You are supposingly so good, how come
You are still in Hraxzaxeq LTD ?! How come You haven't
found another job yet ?!" That sums everything
up.
